History and Shopping

Boston is a town with a twice weekly market (wednesday/saturdays), and the famous St. Botolph’s Church (locally known as the stump). Take a tour around the Maud Foster; a working windmill near the centre of Boston.

The historic City of Lincoln offers both the chance to visit either the Castle and beautiful 9th Century Norman Cathedral or a day shopping in the centre or up the famous ‘Steep Hill’, if you have the energy.

Horncastle is an old traditional market town, famous for its numerous antique shops.

Woodhall Spa is a picturesque victorian resort town with its shops, pubs and restaurants. It also boasts the famous Kinema in the woods, an original, traditional style, working cinema which is well worth a visit.

Tattershall boasts a medieval castle, run by the national trust the castle hosts events most of the year round. Tattershall is also the place of Tom Thumb’s grave.


Aeroplane Enthusiasts

For the avid plane spotter, within easy reach is RAF Coningsby the home of both the modern day Typhoon jets and the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight, which has a visitors centre that is open during the summer months. There is also the East Kirkby Aviation Centre close by, which is home to the Lancaster Bomber ‘Just Jane’. Guests are courteously requested not to fly drones whilst in the area


Sport

There are golf courses at Boston and Woodhall Spa, which is home to the EGU. The Tattershall Lakes Country Park boasts, water skiing, jet skiing, boating and canoeing, an Aquapark as well as fishing. The area also boasts numerous rivers which are all good for fishing. The Seaside

Located just 30 minutes drive away is the famous seaside resort of Skegness, with fun fairs, arcades, seal and sealife sanctuaries as well as scenic coastline and bracing air.
